Kegel exercises help to strengthen the muscles in the genital area and improve blood flow to the penis. They help childless couples and eliminate premature ejaculation. Erectile Dysfunction

The embarrassment of the man who cannot perform well in bed any more is more than understandable. Sexual power is the symbol of masculine power in general and it can be a challenge to admit you need the bed to sleep rather than to do other things. This is a problem at any age, but if for men over 50 or 60 this is the consequence of natural processes in the body, what to do of you are young and full of energy, but your erection leaves much to be desired? What causes erectile dysfunction?

All the causes of erectile dysfunction can be subdivided into 2 large groups: psychological and physiological. The debates on these 2 types of ED have always been hot and the doctors have not come to an agreement, which type is easier to prevent and treat.

Psychological erectile dysfunction means that there are no physiological disorders in your body, which could cause impotence. The reasons of poor performance in bed lay in the sphere or emotions and feelings and no meds are needed to get rid of this type of impotence. It sound encouraging, but, in fact, psychological erectile dysfunction is often more difficult to treat, as long consultations with a psychotherapist or self-trainings are needed. One more minus: many men refuse to visit a doctor and say they can manage the situation themselves, as their failures are just a result of stress, overworking, etc. In reality it’s not always so and the real cause of erectile dysfunction can be nerves injuries or hormonal misbalance.

The most common reasons of psychological erectile dysfunction are:

• Overworking and as a result – stress and depression
• Problems with partner, a new partner
• Hidden fears (some can be routed in childhood)
• Changes in personal life or work (positive and negative)
• Occasional failures in bed

The last point needs further explanations. EVERY man can sometimes have poor erection. This can happen due to overworking, bad mood or simply wring partner. And THIS IS NORMAL!!! But many men after a single failure in bed start to think something is wrong with them, the feeling of uneasiness and fear connected with possible fiasco grows and leads to more failures in bed. The vicious circle closes.

Another type if erectile dysfunction is physiological one. It appears as a result of traumas, surgeries or injuries of nerves and blood vessels, which lead to changes in the blood flow to the genital area or influence the production of sex hormones responsible for sexual arousal. Other possible physiological erectile dysfunction causes are: chronic diseases, changes in hormones levels, medications, and congenital disorders.

To find out what causes erectile dysfunctions, you have to make some tests. After the causes of erectile dysfunction are found put, you can proceed to the choice of erectile dysfunction treatment.

The choice of erectile dysfunction cure predetermines the success of treatment in general. It’s better to choose it on the basis of all the necessary tests and examinations. This way you’ll be able to choose the erectile dysfunction treatment, which would suit you and would help to have firmer erections. Of course, you have to trust your doctor, but each specialist has an individual approach to the problem and the list of treatments prescribed can change a lot depending on the doctor. So make all the tests and visit several doctors to have a clear picture of the problem.

Nowadays modern medicine offers a wide variety of erectile dysfunction treatments, which differ in their effectiveness, price and influence on your body. A sensible doctor will try to choose the treatment scheme, which would have the best effect and will do the least harm to your body. Don’t rush to buy Viagra or make a surgery at first signs of impotence, change of life-styles and diet and some exercises for penis can do more good in many cases.

Erectile dysfunction treatment methods can be subdivided in to 3 main groups:

1. Offered by official medicine. Include prescription meds, changes in life-styles, chemical PDE-5 inhibitors, prosthetic implants, different types of penis pumps to train the muscles in the genital area or provide an artificial flow of blood to the penis.

2. Alternative medicine. Offers aphrodisiac foods and teas, herbal pills and cocktails and healthy life-styles. Is rather effective if the treatment is chosen correctly, but does not work in case of severe erectile dysfunction.

3. Spiritual practices. This approach presupposes that all our problems are caused by spiritual disharmony. It helps to achieve psychological comfort and get rid of unconscious fears. Involves psychological seminars, trainings, lectures, hypnosis, meditation and other practices. Shows the best results in case of psychological erectile dysfunction.

The researches have shown that the combination of 2 and more methods works best than single cure, so complex erectile dysfunction treatment is justified in most cases.
